CANAAF Presents Alopecia's Audacity Podcast. Hosted by Christal Malcolm, Sara Teskey, and Lauryn Harrison.

We’ve all had to face alopecia’s audacity.

It’s audacious in the way that it can take control over our lives, steal our confidence and prevent us from being our most authentic selves.

But spoiler alert: You can thrive. And we’re here to walk with you through it.

Join us monthly where we’ll deep dive into everything alopecia, discuss our personal stories, and share resources to help you live your best life or support a loved one with alopecia. We also invite members of the alopecia community to share how they challenge the audacity of alopecia to think that it can hold us back.

Meet us, your co-hosts

Lauryn Harrison, co-host of Alopecia's Audacity Podcast

Lauryn Harrison

Hi! I’m Lauryn, I’m a fourth year Commerce student at McMaster University. I’m a lover of music, smoothies, sourdough and animals. All puns are intended. In my time outside of work and school, you’ll likely find me outdoors, being active, spending time with friends and family – or some combination of the three! I’m super passionate about cooking and baking, as well as swimming, spinning, and weight lifting. My hope is that this podcast brings you a laugh, a moment of relief or a sense of solidarity. Thanks for tuning in!

Christal Malcolm, co-host of Alopecia's Audacity Podcast

Christal Malcolm

Hi Besties, I’m Christal. I’m a full time multitasker as a content creator, blogger, CANAAF Board Member in my role as Public Relations Coordinator and alopecia advocate. Having lived with Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia for over 20 years I would consider myself an expert in the nuances of alopecia. Trading my tears into my testimony, I hope to inspire and motivate you to be the best version of yourself in spite of your alopecia because you are worthy of all things good.

Sara Teskey, co-host of Alopecia's Audacity Podcast

Sara Teskey

Hello! It’s me, Sara! I’ve been with CANAAF since I suddenly lost all my hair at the teeny age of 10. It’s my goal to cultivate empowered change for those with alopecia and I want to inspire others to love their authentic selves. In my everyday, I’m all over the map. You might even bump into me on a camel in Morocco. I’m a see it all, do it all kind of spirit, a beach volleyball player, and love board games nights with friends.
