This past summer, Hailey Agar held a personal fundraiser at a local salon and invited her friends and family to donate to a cause very close to her heart. With a fantastic response, she raised over $600 in honour of her family members living with Alopecia Areata. She also donated 20″ of her hair to go towards a wig for those affected by hair loss.

“My Family has been affected by Alopecia Areata in more ways then one. I’ve witnessed the struggles first hand and on many occasions which brings me to this push for raising awareness!”

Hailey has shown that there are simple ways to make a difference to someone impacted by Alopecia Areata. From hair donations to bake sales, local tournaments, and online fundraisers, there is an option for everyone to get involved. Every dollar raised directly supports CANAAF’s mission to provide necessary resources for Canadians with alopecia and back current research.
