Study on the Burden of Disease in Alopecia Areata

Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disease that causes varying degree of hair loss. Though the hair loss in and of itself may not cause serious health issues, it can impact the quality of life of both patients and their caregivers because of its visibility.

We would like to fully understand the burden that alopecia areata has on patients and their caregivers. By identifying the burden and highlighting common issues, we hope to be able to optimize the care received by alopecia areata patients in order to better meet their needs.
The surveys are being conducted through the Canadian Alopecia Areata Foundation (CANAAF) and directed to anyone who is affected by alopecia areata or is the caregiver for a child with alopecia areata, please visit the website canaaf.org for more information and links to the surveys.

Your participation and completion of the survey is completely voluntary. You will not be paid or compensated for your time. We will however publish a summary of the results to be posted on the website and/or emailed to the membership.
